Food Shrines: A Celebration

Blackfish Cafe, Lincoln City, OR

Blackfish Café will host a show of mixed media assemblages by Lincoln City artist Liisa Rahkonen. “Food Shrines: A Celebration.” is a collection of dioramas about the culinary arts inspired by the eclectic atmosphere of Paris.

An angel in each shrine presents a food or beverage to express passion for food as an art form. Rahkonen’s work has a quirky edge, with titles such as Lobster World; I’m Hungry; Blessed Goat Cheese; How Fresh Is the Fish?; Magnificent Chocolate; Protector of the Fermented Grape; and Would You Like Some Pizza?
